Precision Nickel Alloy Sleeves: Custom Machined to Your Specifications
SleeveMFG manufactures precision sleeves from nickel-based superalloys for pump shafts, mechanical seals, and high-temperature rotating equipment. We machine components directly from customer CAD drawings or engineering specifications, delivering the dimensional accuracy required for critical industrial assemblies.
Engineering with Nickel-Based Superalloys
Nickel alloys are selected when standard stainless steel cannot withstand the operating environment. They provide superior resistance to corrosion, oxidation, and high-temperature creep. SleeveMFG regularly machines the following grades, adjusting tooling and cutting parameters to manage work hardening and maintain surface integrity.
Inconel 625 / 718
High strength and oxidation resistance at elevated temperatures.
Monel 400 / K-500
Excellent resistance to seawater, hydrofluoric acid, and sulfuric acid.
Hastelloy C276 / B2
High corrosion resistance in aggressive chemical processing environments.
Precision Machining Capabilities
We utilize CNC turning and grinding to achieve the tight tolerances necessary for sleeve and bushing components. Our facility handles complex geometries including shoulders, flanges, internal and external threads, and grooves.

Controlling Concentricity and Runout
For rotating equipment, the geometric relationship between the bore and outside diameter is critical. We prioritize geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) so sleeves function correctly within the assembly and reduce the risk of premature seal or bearing failure.
Concentricity Control
Minimizes vibration and wear in high-speed applications.
Roundness & Cylindricity
Ensures even distribution of loads across mating surfaces.
Radial Runout
Maintains tight tolerances to prevent premature seal or bearing failure.
GD&T Verification
Inspected with CMM, bore gauges, and micrometers.
Secondary Processes and Surface Treatments
A sleeve often requires more than machining to meet its performance requirements. SleeveMFG manages the full manufacturing process, including coordination of secondary operations.
Heat Treatment
Solution annealing or precipitation hardening to achieve target mechanical properties.
Hardening
Nitriding, carburizing, or induction hardening for wear surfaces.
Surface Coatings
PVD, DLC, or hard chrome plating to improve abrasion resistance or reduce friction.
Finishing
Honing, lapping, and precision polishing to reach specific Ra values.
Industry Applications
We supply nickel alloy sleeves to OEMs, MRO facilities, and distributors across demanding industrial sectors.
Chemical Processing
Pumps and valves handling aggressive fluids.
Oil & Gas
Downhole tools and subsea equipment requiring corrosion resistance.
Power Generation
Turbines and high-temperature rotating assemblies.
Marine & Offshore
Shaft components exposed to saltwater and high-pressure environments.
